Most sleep related issues can be resolved in about 2 weeks or less-- as long as you consistently follow my step-by-step sleep plan. Some methods are faster, while others take more time, but no matter the technique, consistency is the key to success.

Usually when your baby is about four months old. That’s when babies differentiate day and night and begin to consolidate sleep into 2-3 recognizable naps during the day and longer, uninterrupted chunks at night But it’s never too early to lay the foundation for good sleep. I have many helpful suggestions for both expectant parents and parents of newborns for how to implement good sleep habits and avoid sleep problems from the start.

I have extensive experience with toddlers, multiple children, and twins through age 6, as well as expectant parents and parents of newborns.

Actually, the opposite is true: the more tired a baby gets, the harder it is to fall asleep. To fight fatigue, babies (and adults) produce a hormone called cortisol that gives them a second wind and makes it more difficult to fall asleep. The goal is to help children fall asleep before they become overtired. I will help you understand how to gauge your child’s internal sleep rhythms so you can create an age-appropriate schedule and an ideal sleeping environment.

Not unless you want to. I have success using many different strategies to help parents teach their children to sleep. The best technique for your family is based on your goals, your tolerance for crying, as well as your child’s temperament. After I learn more about your family and your goals, I will create a step-by-step personalized sleep plan that you will feel comfortable to implement. That being said, remember crying is a natural way to for a baby to protest change!

No problem at all! Though I am based in Chicago, I have helped over 2,000 families in 14 countries, 35 states, and 5 continents achieve better sleep.
